Blowing Rocks Preserve in Hobe Sound, Florida

Blowing Rocks Preserve is a highly recommended place to visit in the East coast of Florida.  It is located in Jupiter Island in Hobe Sound, Florida.  It is owned and maintained by “The Nature Conservancy” and contains the largest Anastasia Limestone outcropping on the Florida east coast.

It is a breathtaking experience to see how the waves spray bursts of water through the erosion holes that have formed overtime. The spray can reach heights as much as 40-50 feet.  It is imperative to visit during periods of high, as well as, low tides. This permits the visitor the opportunity to see the rock formations from below and within as much as from above.  It is a peaceful beach environment with a natural artistic flair.  The preserve also has an educational center, boardwalk, beachside path, and a butterfly garden. You won’t want to miss it!
